UAW Expands Strike to Stellantis Ram Truck Plant Amid Contract Disputes


The United Auto Workers (UAW) union has expanded its strike to include 6,800 workers at a plant producing Ram 1500 trucks, affecting one of Stellantis' key vehicles. This escalation follows criticism by UAW President Shawn Fain of Stellantis' contract proposals, which he deemed weaker than those offered by Ford and General Motors. Approximately 40,000 UAW workers across the automotive industry are currently on strike, demanding pay raises, improved benefits, and an end to wage tiers.
