West Coast's Increasing Use of Biofuels to Drive Down Diesel Consumption to Decade Low

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), the West Coast's rising demand for renewable diesel and biodiesel is expected to lead to the lowest diesel consumption levels in over a decade. Biofuels are being used as alternatives to diesel, helping meet emission requirements in California, Oregon, and Washington. However, diesel consumption in the rest of the country has returned to pre-pandemic levels.
