For those of us knee-deep in supply chain issues most of the day… “stressed out” can be an understatement. According to LinkedIn, supply chain managers left their jobs in droves - an increase of 28% separations from their positions/companies in the supply chain sector.

🩺 Dialysis treatments are in jeopardy amid constant supply chain disruptions. COVID-19-related supply chain hiccups have unveiled how dependent many vulnerable communities are on their healthcare systems running smoothly. With 37 million Americans diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, medical staffing shortages and a lack of dialysis treatments have policymakers concerned with protecting these patients.

Sixteen production lines in ten Japanese plants have been paused as supplies from Shanghai are slowed to a snail’s pace. Toyota’s June global production forecast has to be modified due to the decision and it is now predicted to be about 850,000 vehicles.

American Eagle Outfitters wants to save the supply chain

Shekar Natarajan, the executive vice president, and chief supply chain officer for AEO (the parent company of American Eagle Outfitters) has launched an initiative to save the company’s supply chain.

He claims that the future of the retail industry and delivery processes all rely on developing cohesive digital platforms that similar companies can share for better operations. AEO acquired several logistics companies last year in an effort to push this methodology.
