🌏 $178 Billion: that’s the price tag on climate change by 2070, according to Deloitte's Global Turning Point Report. The report was released at the World Economic Forum's annual meeting on May 27th, sending shockwaves through industries. The Forum recommends transforming economies in Asia, Europe, and the Americas into low-carbon conglomerates.

❄️ The United States Navy is honing in on its logistics capabilities in the Arctic. For the last few years, the Navy has implemented what they are coining the “Blue Arctic” strategy in the High North, looking into more strategic operations in the icy wasteland. Several countries operate there, including Russians, and operations have been fairly cooperative.

🚛 The American Trucking Associations have made one thing clear in their recent roundtable discussion: driver pay is a major factor in the driver retention problem. Retention has been a headache for carriers for much longer than 2020, and with odd hours and regulations in place, oftentimes drivers end up making barely over minimum wage.


Truck and Engine Manufacturers Association dues CARB over alleged illegal timing issue

The Truck and Engine Manufacturers Association Is arguing that California's new heavy-duty engine regulation failed to fall within the minimum four years' notice to meet clean air standards, as written in federal law. The California Air Resource Board (CARB) cut that time in half.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is following CARB’s lead and likely developing similar legislation on a federal level.
