From a GenZ Lens: Tesla v. CA

Hello again, my name is Christina. I am 19 years old, and still new to the Transportation Industry. I would like to give you a Gen Z’s view on some trending Logistics topics. You can find this one on www.ilevellogistics.com in “The Daily” for August 24th, 2022.

I don’t know how many drivers know about this, but Tesla is releasing semi-trucks. There was talk of the trucks being self-driving, but because of California’s DMV that probably will not happen. Elon Musk started to manufacture electric vehicles in 2008. Elon then branded his Tesla cars self-driving which has resulted in accidents (some fatal). To fix the liability of the accidents Musk labeled the tesla cars “the self-driving feature needs to have an active driver behind the wheel”. The DMV has now stated that the company is committing false advertisements by saying the car has “full self-driving capability”.
