U.S. Gas Prices Plummet to Lowest of the Year Amid Falling Oil Prices and Production Cuts


Gas prices in the United States are dropping, with the national average at $3.137 per gallon, down 9 cents from the previous week and the lowest of the year. This decline is attributed to falling oil prices, voluntary production cuts by OPEC+, and expectations of reduced gas consumption due to a warmer winter. States with the lowest gas prices include Texas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma, while California, Hawaii, and Washington have the highest prices. Colorado, Utah, and Idaho have seen the largest declines in gas prices.
