A recent poll has revealed that the "rapid phase-out" of electric vehicles (EVs) is not a straightforward path. Gasoline-powered cars continue to dominate the roads, outnumbering EVs significantly. The slower adoption of EVs can be attributed to their higher prices, resulting in Americans keeping their cars for longer periods than before. As a result, the average age of cars on the road has increased to nearly 13 years, compared to approximately 9 years two decades ago.
