Trucking sector expenses for parts and labor have shown signs of stabilization in the first quarter of 2023, according to a report from the American Trucking Associations (ATA)'s Technology & Maintenance Council and Decisiv Inc. The report indicates a slowdown in cost increases compared to the previous year, with a 0.7% rise in costs from the fourth quarter of 2022. Parts costs decreased by 0.4% while labor costs increased by 2.3%, suggesting that delayed new vehicle deliveries are reaching end users. The data, collected from the Decisiv/TMC North American Service Event Benchmark Report, provides insights into fleet maintenance costs and trends.
