Daimler Trucks and the state of Michigan are joining forces to create "The Truck Stop of the Future," a charging hub for commercial electric vehicles (EVs). Michigan's Mobility Charging Hub program aims to assist companies in transitioning their fleets to electric vehicles and revolutionizing truck stop services. The concept combines traditional truck stop models with dedicated EV charging infrastructure, offering new revenue streams, job creation, and sustainable transformations in the trucking industry. With access to $13 million in funding, the project's initial partners include Daimler Truck North America and DTE Energy.
