CPOs face challenges in meeting cost plans due to inflation but are prioritizing operational efficiency, ESG initiatives, digital transformation, and cost reduction, according to a Deloitte survey. The report highlights the importance of supplier collaboration, digital transformation, and demand management in delivering value. While only 30% of procurement executives have met their cost savings targets, ESG efforts have gained significance, with an increased focus on talent development and collaboration with suppliers in this area. However, businesses are still facing difficulties in achieving their ESG goals, particularly in greenhouse emissions eradication.
