✈️ FAA head nomination continues to stumble as Congress debates approval.

Seven months ago, President Joe Biden nominated Phil Washington, the CEO of Denver International Airport, to lead the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). However, the Senate Commerce Committee has been slow to approve the nomination due to an ongoing corruption investigation into Washington’s previous tenure as head of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority. Republicans have vowed to block Washington’s nomination.
