Biden Vows to Bring Full Battery Supply Chain Home and Boost U.S. Manufacturing


During a visit to South Carolina, President Biden emphasized the need to bring critical manufacturing processes, such as semiconductor production and battery supply chains, back to the United States to compete with China. He highlighted the importance of the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS and Science Act in attracting private investments in clean energy manufacturing and job creation, while also criticizing Republicans for opposing these initiatives. The visit showcased a clean energy manufacturing partnership between Enphase Energy and Flex Ltd., which is expected to create 600 jobs in South Carolina.
