With fuel costs burning a hole in many carriers’ pockets, many are turning internally to temper the blaze. Some common methods being implemented include “driver scores” and encouraging fuel-saving behaviors based on accumulating points for rewards - like electronics.

🔦 Cargo theft is on the rise and fleets are on heightened alert. Holiday weekends are notorious times for thieves to plan their operations. In the past five years alone, there have been 114 cargo thefts reported over the 4th of July holiday. The total loss in value was $5,535,417.
⚾️ The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission voted and approved the Oakland Athletics $12 billion waterfront ballpark project on June 30th. This reclassification of a 56-acre terminal at the Port of Oakland has been a win in the long legal battle the project has faced in order to begin development.
