Target has opened its first extension facility in Smyrna, Georgia, allowing the retailer to reach an additional 500,000 customers for next-day delivery in the Atlanta area. The facility serves as an intermediary hub, transferring packages from Target's Atlanta sortation center to be delivered by drivers from Target's subsidiary, Shipt. Target plans to increase the facility's operations and explore further expansion opportunities as it continues to enhance its next-day delivery capabilities.
