Norfolk Southern Establishes Fund to Assist Ohio Homeowners

Recently, Norfolk Southern made headlines for a train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio that resulted in hazardous chemicals spilling into the town's waterways. The US government, Ohio State, and affected residents have filed lawsuits against the railroad. Over 2,500 residents had to evacuate the town last February. In response, Norfolk Southern has announced a plan to establish a fund to aid residents near the train crash site. The fund aims to assist with the decreasing home value caused by the train disaster.

Norfolk Southern Corporation is a leading American transportation company operating an extensive network of railroads in the Eastern United States. The company's rail network spans 22 states, primarily in the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast regions, covering more than 19,500 miles of track.
