Nationwide Strike at UPS Looms as Union Walks Away from Contract Talks


The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has declared that a nationwide strike at UPS is imminent after union negotiators abruptly left national contract talks with the company. The union has urged UPS to present its final offer by June 30, as the expiration of the current contract approaches on July 31. The Teamsters have warned of a strike if a new agreement is not in place by August 1, potentially leading to the largest single-employer strike in American history.
