China has been making veiled - or… not-so-veiled threats of invading Taiwan over recent months. If China follows through and disconnects underwater internet cables that are vital for the semiconductor industry between North America and Asia, we can expect catastrophic economic scenarios. The shipping industry would have to navigate a major crisis of delayed shipments, lost ships, and sky-high operational expenses.
