However, the two titans on the global stage may end up in two different situations - the United States still has access to cheap energy, while the European Union no longer had a net to fall back on. Industry leaders who rely on European manufacturing should consider the future as Europe struggles to modify its energy dependence. Will de-industrialization cause major problems down the road?
