Philadelphia Employer Emphasizes In-Office Mondays to Foster Team Culture


While office occupancy remains lower on Mondays compared to pre-pandemic levels, Jeff Hornstein, executive director of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, has successfully convinced his team of 13 employees to come into the office on Mondays twice a month. Hornstein believes that regular in-person meetings and team-building activities are crucial for building a strong organizational culture, particularly when his staff was hired remotely during the pandemic. Despite the differing preferences of his team, Hornstein maintains that Mondays are the ideal day for fostering collaboration and starting the work week, but remains open to pivoting if necessary.
