Experts in the trucking industry predict that the slow times will persist

Representatives from large carriers highlighted the ongoing impact of the recession on the supply chain, particularly in the truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) markets. Economist Keith Prather suggested that while a U.S. recession is likely, it may be shallow and short, with a slow recovery expected in 2024 and 2025. The conference also discussed the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in the trucking industry, especially in areas like last-mile logistics and labor optimization.
