California Braces for Stormy Second Half of December with Two Weather Systems Approaching


The first half of December in California has been dry, but a shift is expected in the second half as two storm systems approach the coast. Starting on Sunday, the northern 2/3rds of the California coast, including the San Francisco Bay area, will experience showers, followed by increased rainfall on Monday that will spread south to Los Angeles and east to the Sierra Nevada. Thunderstorms are also likely, particularly around the Bay Area and central California, which could lead to localized flash flooding. A second storm system is expected later in the week, with a focus on the southern half of the state.
