A national embarrassment: the baby formula shortage continues

🍼 The baby formula shortage is an embarrassment to a nation under pressure. Now weeks into the shortage, the shelves are still empty regardless of emergency measures being announced.

Abbott Laboratories, the baby formula manufacturing plant that was shut down by the FDA due to safety concerns, announced that it would import baby formula from its Spanish facilities. However, after damage from severe storms in the area, the manufacturing plant is closing its doors once again before increased supplies ever made it to the shelves.
