40,000 additional UK rail workers join national labor strike


The United Kingdom’s unionized rail workers are taking a stand against what they deem as unfair pay and reform issues in the rail network. The National Union of Rail, Maritime, and Transport Workers has announced walkouts on September 15th and 17th at fourteen separate train companies. An additional 40,000 rail workers have decided to join in the walkout.

The inflation rate in the UK is now in the double digits and is expected to hit 22% next year.
