Good morning, it’s Hump Day. 🐪
Since The Fair Labor Standards Act passed in 1938, American employers are required to pay their employees overtime pay when their hours exceed the standard 40-hour workweek. However, trucking companies have been largely exempt from that rule due to the law’s carrier motor exemption. That may be changing soon.
