Trucker safety is critical; how to avoid being targeted

An unlucky driver hauling a load of high-end athletic shoes was targeted by thieves on June 1st. The robbers held the driver at gunpoint as they unloaded the back of his vehicle outside of a DC in Memphis, Tennessee.

Companies and drivers alike are becoming more concerned about the safety of their workers as crime upticks in the transportation industry. Awareness isn’t the whole answer to the growing problem, but it is a start. Fleets are investing in better cameras, maintenance, and security of their location hubs.
