Affordable Care Act’s “family glitch” being addressed for small business healthcare coverage

Under the current law, the ACA supplies financial air through the individual marketplace to customers who would otherwise spend more than 9.83% of their personal income on their company's offered health plan premium for employee-only healthcare coverage.

Paying very high premiums is common for most people including their family on their plan. Lower and middle-class families have been hindered from obtaining affordable healthcare coverage through the consumer marketplace because a spouse has been offered very expensive employer-sponsored healthcare coverage.
